At the heart of the Double Comfort system is the revolutionary new Body

Cambrelle - The most abrasion-resistant
fabric lining. It offers excellent moisture wicking capabilities with
its rapid moisture release technology. The result is superior warmth
and comfort.
Georgia Boot's Carbo-Tec process creates soles using
a rare blend of 95% neoprene combined with Comfort Core® technology
and other materials. The result is a comfortable, non-marking sole with
anti-slip tread and resistance to oil and chemicals. It even helps insulate
feet against the cold. Carbo-Tec soles are applied to the boot with the
use of a special vulcanizing process that keeps them attached.
Cordura ® nylon offers a lightweight alternative
to leather boots. Cordura nylon is twice as abrasion-resistant as standard
footwear nylons. Outdoor enthusiasts have come to trust the rugged lightweight
convenience of a Cordura boot. Cordura nylon is a very low maintenance
fabric - after use, just wipe the boots down with a damp cloth. Applying
an occasional layer of silicone spray will extend the life and help to
repel water.
Georgia Boot's patented Comfort Core® technology
is what separates the men from the men-with-sore-feet. And no other boot
has it. Comfort Core® is a specially-designed, energy-return cushion
that stores energy as the weight of your foot compresses. Then, as the
foot is lifted, that energy is released. Basically, that's just a high-tech
way of saying our boots are really, really comfortable. Plus, Comfort
Core® insoles feature a unique air flow system containing tiny air
holes that force air through the insole as you walk. So feet stay cooler
and drier longer.
Dri-lex - A soft nylon lining with excellent moisture
wicking capabilities, DRI-LEX is long wearing and very breathable.
Dryz -
An innovative line of insole systems that absorb moisture and molecularly
convert it into a dry gel within the insole of the shoe. As a result,
the insole absorbs all the moisture from perspiration throughout the
day, yet remains dry to the touch.
How Dryz Works
- The fabric liner wicks away perspiration from the body and transports it to a layer of copolymer foam.
- Upon contact with perspiration, this “Smart Foam” absorbs and stores moisture away from the skin in a gel-like substance.
- DRYZ also has special, patented odor killing agents called ReScent that destroy odor on contact, as well as additional ingredients that fight the growth of fungi and odor causing bacteria.
- The gelled moisture dissipates continuously throughout the day and completely when the product is removed.
- Within hours, DRYZ is fresh and ready to begin the process all over again the next time you use the product.
The Quark Duo Density Footbed has comfort all over, and added support where you need it. The white area is cushioned EVA with perforations for breathability. The blue area is a stiffer compound that cradles the arch of the foot and supports it throughout the day, reducing fatigue and adding to performance. Closer to the wearer's foot, the footbed has a layer of DryzTM moisture management foam, which keeps feet dry, and therefore cool in warm weather and warm at colder temperatures.
Duratech - A membrane barrier design to keep feet
dry from outside weather and inside perspiration. It allows moisture
vapor to pass and air to permeate through it. Air circulation assists
the body's ability to cool through evaporation.
Firstmed ™ technology by ROCKY ® - The Firstmed ™ technology
by ROCKY ® ensures safety in hazardous conditions. Firstmed is permanently
stitched to the inside of all Firstmed indicated ROCKY boots. This material
has been tested to block bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids including
the hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C virus and HIV. Firstmed has also proven
to block several common chemicals found at accident sites including,
but not limited to, gasoline, battery acids, and hydraulic fluids.

Opanka Construction System - A patented durable, hand
crafted construction method in which the upper is attached to the outsole
and sock lining by hand stitching with a heavy, durable waxed thread.

Gore-Tex ® Fabric— Manufactured by W.L. Gore and
Associates, Gore-Tex ® is a highly breathable, waterproof
membrane that is stitched to the inside of the boot. The pores in Gore-Tex
fabric allow boots to be completely submerged in water for extended periods
of time. The Gore™ membrane consists of microscopic pores large enough
to allow water vapor (a gas) to escape but much too small to allow water
droplets (a liquid) to pass through. To put it simply, Gore-Tex is guaranteed
waterproof and breathable.
Intellitemp - IntelliTemp offers the most advanced
temperature regulation insulation available today. In addition, IntelliTemp
will control moisture, kill odor and fight odor-causing bacteria and
fungi. IntelliTemp keeps you warm when it's cold and cool when it's hot.
Outsole materials such as polyurethane, crepe, EVA, etc., make these
Georgia Boot designs comfortable and light -- without sacrificing durability.

Nytek - A revolutionary alternative to leather, offers

If you're a farmer, do yourself a favor and wear boots made with SPR leather.
The leather undergoes a special tanning process to make it 3 times stronger
and 2 1/2 times more abrasion-resistant than conventional leathers. This
offers better protection against barnyard chemicals. SPR leather resists
caustic alkali, sulfuric acid, calcium hydroxide, potassium phosphate,
caustic potash, and other barnyard acids. It's also pasture-proof.
Sympatex® : Breathable, waterproof barrier capable
of resisting blood borne pathogens for at least one hour when tested
according to ASTM F 1671, Standard Test Method for Resistance of Materials
used in Protective Clothing to Penetration by Blood Borne Pathogens.
Thinsulate ™ Insulation is a microfiber material that
is thin, warm and lightweight. It is one of the lightest and most compact
insulations on the market. With the ability to retain heat even when
wet, Thinsulate Insulation provides nearly two times the warmth when
compared to equal weights of foam or felt insulation. Thinsulate Insulation
is an ideal insulation for outdoor boots. Most insulation will break
down after heavy use, but Thinsulate Insulation retains its insulating
values even after extended wear. Thinsulate Insulation is measured in
grams; 200 grams offers the least amount of insulation in footwear, while
1,600 grams is the highest level available in footwear.
